Proton Huber Competition has two reasons to celebrate after the dramatic finale of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany in Hockenheim (3rd to 5th October): Robert de Haan is the champion in the drivers‘ standings, while Sacha Norden wins the rookie classification.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s season finale of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany will remain in the memories of the entire Proton Huber Competition team for a long time to come. Although Robert de Haan travelled to Hockenheim trailing the leader by twelve points, he managed to turn the title fight around. In the end, the Dutchman was crowned champion for the first time in the highly competitive one-make cup. This means that the Bavarian Porsche team has successfully defended its title in the popular series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly crowned champion laid the foundation for his success on Saturday when he drove to victory from fourth on the grid. The 19-year-old was supported by Keagan Masters from South Africa, who was driving for Proton Huber Competition in the German Carrera Cup for the first time. \u2018First of all, I have to thank Keagan Masters \u2013 it was perfect teamwork,\u2019 said a delighted Robert de Haan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sunday’s race, de Haan clinched the title with another strong performance. Starting from fourth on the grid, the Dutchman quickly worked his way up to the front of the field and secured victory in a dramatic race finale, thereby securing the championship. For de Haan, this is the greatest success of his racing career, after narrowly missing out on the title in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sacha Norden wins rookie classification<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proton Huber Competition also defended its title from last year in the rookie classification. With a class victory in the first race on Saturday, Sacha Norden sealed the deal early and was crowned champion. \u2018Not exactly my best race, but the result is perfect,\u2019 laughed the 24-year-old after the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proton Huber Competition once again demonstrated that the team is the best place for talented young drivers. In addition to Norden, another youngster impressed in the 2025 season: Joseph Warhurst. The Brit rounded off the success with second place in the rookie classification. Proton Huber Competition took second place in the team classification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018These results speak for themselves and show that Proton Huber Competition is one of the absolute top teams in the Porsche one-make cups,\u2019 said team owner Christian Ried. \u2018Our drivers can be very proud of what they have achieved. Although the season also had a few setbacks, they always fought their way back. The final in Hockenheim is symbolic of this.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Dirsch, who heads the programme, was also grateful and is already looking ahead: \u2018The whole team worked brilliantly and everyone in the team contributed to this success. Everyone has worked hard throughout the year and now deserves a short break. With the end of the season, however, we are now moving straight into preparations for 2026. Next year, a new car will be introduced and the cards will be reshuffled. We will do everything we can to ensure that Proton Huber Competition is back at the top again.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
