The FIA World Endurance Championship reconvenes on 10 May 2025 for the third round of the season, the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Proton Competition will once again be in action in both classes and striving for a repeat of their impressive finish in the Ardennes in 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That success \u2013 fifth position in a strong Hypercar field \u2013 stands the team in good stead ahead of this year\u2019s edition of the race, and drivers of the #99 Porsche 963 Neel Jani, Nicolas Pino and Nicol\u00e1s Varrone will have their sights firmly set on a similarly positive result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have very fond memories of Spa after what was our best race by some distance in 2024,\u201d said Jani. \u201cWe were in the lead for a major portion of it and had a great shot at a podium, but unfortunately it wasn\u2019t to be. I hope we can use this experience and the data we gathered to find a good set-up for the race.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the LMGT3 class, Bernardo Sousa, Ben Tuck and Ben Barker (#77), and Stefano Gattuso, Giammarco Levorato and Dennis Olsen (#88) are gearing up for the race weekend at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in confident mood. The drivers of Proton Competition\u2019s pair of Ford Mustang LMGT3 will be looking to continue the upward trajectory of their 2025 season to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSpa has always been one of my favourite tracks, so I’m really excited to head there with the Ford Mustang LMGT3,\u201d said Tuck. \u201cWe showed some great pace in Imola, which is something I hope we can continue in Spa. We will definitely be pushing for a podium.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The action starts on Thursday 8 May with a pair of free practice sessions, followed by a third practice and qualifying on Friday afternoon. The race begins at 14:00 local time on Saturday 10 May. The race can be followed live on FIA WEC TV<\/a> and Eurosport 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three things you probably didn\u2019t know:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Fans can watch the whole race from the driver\u2019s perspective thanks to our live onboard camera<\/a> in the #77 Ford Mustang LMGT3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. The first ever FIA WEC race on European soil took place at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps all the way back in 2012, with Richard Lietz and Marc Lieb taking the LMGTE Pro win in the #77 Team Felbermayr-Proton Porsche 911 RSR (997).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Major resurfacing work has taken place at the track since the FIA WEC\u2019s last visit: 43,000 square metres of new asphalt has been laid, including over 3.5km of track and 600m of pitlane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
