In the software of the data logger, which monitors the time taken to refuel, a programme line of code was modified, which resulted in increasing the time of the refuelling sensor signal sent to the official data logger. As a consequence, both vehicles were disqualified from the race.<\/p>\n<p>From the data subsequently supplied by the Dempsey-Proton Racing team, it emerged that the line of additional code was also modified in both cars for the FIA World Endurance Championship race at Silverstone (Great Britain) but not for the races at Spa and Le Mans.<\/p>\n<p>Following a hearing at the FIA World Endurance Championship race in Shanghai (China), the FIA decisions 13 and 14 were handed down to our number 77 and 88 vehicles and all points earned up to and including the Fuji round were revoked for the World Endurance Driver Championship, the GTE-AM Drivers\u2019 FIA Endurance Trophy, the GTE-AM Teams\u2019 Endurance Trophy and the World Endurance GTE Manufacturers\u2019 Championship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Team owner Christian Ried:<\/strong> <em>\u201cThe modification to the data logger of the refuelling sensor was done by an external consultant who acted independently. No one in the team or at Porsche had any knowledge of this change to the software. Straight after the announcement of this rule violation, we severed ties to this external consultant. Nevertheless, as the team manager, I take full responsibility for everything that happens within my team. We have contested every race since the founding of the FIA WEC and have been an integral part of the racing series. Fair motorsport is one of our team\u2019s fundamental principles. Therefore, we explicitly welcome the rigorous monitoring by FIA and ACO regarding compliance with the technical regulations. We accept the withdrawal of all championship points from the first four races of the 2018\/2019 Super Season.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Stellungnahme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>28.11.2018; Beim Rennen der FIA World Endurance Championship in Fuji (Japan) wurde am 14. Oktober 2018 durch die Stewards ein Regelversto\u00df bei unseren Fahrzeugen mit den Startnummern 77 und 88 festgestellt. In der Software des Datenaufzeichnungsger\u00e4tes (Data Logger), das die Tankzeit misst, war eine Programmzeile ge\u00e4ndert, die dazu f\u00fchrte, dass eine l\u00e4ngere Tankzeit in den Speicher geschrieben wurde als vom Sensor tats\u00e4chlich gemessen. Als Folge wurden beide Fahrzeuge f\u00fcr das Rennen disqualifiziert.<\/p>\n<p>Aus dem vom Team Dempsey-Proton Racing im Nachgang zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellten Daten ergab sich, dass diese Programmzeilen in beiden Fahrzeugen auch beim Rennen der FIA World Endurance Championship in Silverstone (Gro\u00dfbritannien) ge\u00e4ndert waren, nicht jedoch bei den Rennen in Spa und Le Mans.<\/p>\n<p>Nach einer Anh\u00f6rung beim FIA World Endurance Championship Rennen in Shanghai (China) ergingen am 17. November 2018 die FIA-Entscheidungen Nummer 13 und 14, in denen unseren Fahrzeugen mit den Startnummern 77 und 88 alle bis einschlie\u00dflich Fuji gesammelten Punkte in der World Endurance Driver Championship, der GTE-AM Drivers FIA Endurance Trophy, der GTE-AM Teams Endurance Trophy und der World Endurance GTE Manufacturers Championship aberkannt wurden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teambesitzer Christian Ried:<\/strong> <em>\u201eDie Ver\u00e4nderung der Aufzeichnung der Daten des Tanksensors wurde von einem externen Dienstleister vorgenommen, der eigenm\u00e4chtig gehandelt hat. Niemand sonst im Team oder bei Porsche hatte Kenntnis von dieser Software\u00e4nderung. Sofort nach Bekanntwerden dieses Regelversto\u00dfes haben wir uns von dem externen Dienstleister getrennt. Dennoch \u00fcbernehme ich als Teamchef die volle Verantwortung f\u00fcr alles, was in meinem Team passiert. Wir sind seit Gr\u00fcndung der FIA WEC bei jedem Rennen am Start gewesen und ein integraler Bestandteil der Rennserie. Fairer Motorsport ist eine der Grundpr\u00e4missen unseres Teams. Deshalb begr\u00fc\u00dfen wir die konsequente \u00dcberwachung der Einhaltung der technischen Regeln durch FIA und ACO ausdr\u00fccklich.
